High Reflectors or Dielectric Mirrors are used to steer light by reflection. The reflectivity is normally higher than that obtained with metallic mirrors. They can be for a single wavelength, multiple wavelengths or broadband in nature. Normally the performance outside the reflective area is not specified. If it is specified it falls under the products Notch, Shortpass or Longpass. Typical use is in steering laser light. The operational wavelength region can be selected from the range 200-8000nm to suit the application.
Although 45 degrees is a common angle of incidence this may also be specified as a different value. The reflective function can also be specified with regard to polarisation.
For specific requirements Envin are also able to offer metal based mirrors.
