Envin Scientific’s range of gas detection systems enables you to monitor, control and analyse levels of many different gases and other atmospheric conditions.
In addition to our own in-house manufactured gas detection products, we also supply Nissha Fis, Maxtec and Galltec-Mela gas sensors and detectors.
Together this range allows you to detect and control levels of gases including:
Because this is such an extensive range of products, you’ll find some of the categories divided down further into subcategories – so whatever you need, there’s a good chance it’s on these pages.
We supply oxygen sensors and analysers from Maxtec, a US company based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
They have been producing gas sensors since 1991 for applications ranging from neonatal intensive care to scuba and deep sea diving.
In addition to their easy-to-use oxygen sensors, they also manufacture handheld nitrogen sensors, as well as oxygen domes and phototherapy masks for infants.
Maxtec gas detectors are handy, portable and easy to use, with power-saving features that deliver prolonged battery life.
Find out more about all of the Maxtec range in our Oxygen Sensors and Analysers pages.
While not strictly speaking a ‘gas’ detector, we include temperature and humidity detectors in this section for ease of reference.
These products include thermostats and hygrostats from Galltec-Mela, manufacturers of the Polyga and Mela sensing elements for use in HVAC systems, air conditioning and similar equipment.
Products include ATEX certification for use in hazardous areas, along with economical transmitters for budget applications and electronic humidistats with digital displays.
Galltec-Mela humidity detectors are used in industries such as:
Humidity detection allows for a controlled environment, ensuring a protective atmosphere for goods and a comfortable working environment for employees and other occupants.
Nissha Fis, based in Hyogo, Japan, manufacture low-cost semiconductor-based gas sensors that are used in devices for safety, environmental, health and instrumentation purposes.
Envin Scientific supply the Nissha Fis SB Series and SP Series for very low power consumption and detection of a wide range of gases.
Some of the gases detected by Nissha Fis SB and SP Series sensors include:
We can also supply Nissha Fis gas sensors with specific applications, for example Nissha Fis OralChroma which is a device to detect volatile sulphide components in breath samples, an indicator of oral health and hygiene problems, and a precursor to other more serious illnesses.
Our gas monitoring and control products include handheld ozone detectors and mains ozone monitors.
The Ozone Handheld Monitor is manufactured in-house by Envin Scientific and designed for longevity, with rechargeable batteries and a replaceable ozone sensor.
Each device is pre-calibrated and factory pre-set to an alarm state at 180 ppb of atmospheric ozone, although this can be adjusted anywhere up to 250 ppb.
Our mains-powered Ozone Monitor System features a built-in audible alarm with 90 dB output, as well as a relay to trigger a volt-free or 12V DC alarm output.
Again the alarm state is pre-set to 180 ppb, although the system can monitor ozone levels anywhere up to 250 ppb.
Nissha Fis gas analysis products are highly sensitive and are designed for different applications where specific gases must be detected and measured accurately.
OralChroma provides fast measurements of three different volatile compounds found in breath samples and associated with bad breath, halitosis and as an indicator of many other illnesses.
The Nissha Fis Sensor Gas Chromatograph uses a semiconductor gas detector for highly accurate measurements of a range of different gases, with results given in parts per billion.
It requires only a short measurement time and no carrier gas, and provides fast results for the following gases:
Full datasheets are available on the individual product pages for these devices, in our Gas Analysis category.

If you have a specific application or need a sensor capable of detecting a specific gas or compound with a high degree of accuracy, we may be able to recommend a suitable sensor from our range.
We are also happy to work with our customers to help you to develop your own gas detectors, monitors and sensors based around the components that we are able to supply.
