Welcome to Envin Scientific
Manufacturers and suppliers of gas sensors and optical filters
Envin Scientific manufacture, stock and supply a wide range of gas sensors, optical filters and other instrumentation for all industries and applications. We are well established, with a successful track record, considerable expertise and many happy customers – many of whom we are delighted to welcome back time and time again. Envin is privately owned and dedicated to providing cost-effective solutions in a range of technology-based disciplines. Some of our main product categories include:
You can find out more information about each of these categories on our website, along with a full list of the products we manufacture, stock and supply, complete with downloadable datasheets to help you make a fully informed decision.
Our optical filters are manufactured to high standards, with complete testing and certification that the finished product is up to scratch. We can produce thin-film filters, absorption filters and laminate filters, combining the mechanical properties of substrates with the optical characteristics of different coatings, as well as glass, dichroic, resin and gel filters. Together these many different methods to reflect, transmit or absorb light allow complex filters, lenses and mirrors to be created with very specific wavelength spectra. Our expertise in this area allows us to work with customers on bespoke optical filters that meet very precise needs, again while keeping cost firmly in mind.
We supply gas sensors from several world-leading brands, with broad capabilities to provide fast results and highly accurate measurements of different gases and compounds in the atmosphere. Just a selection of examples of the applications for these gas detectors include:
Our extremely broad range of sensors allows for a great variety of different uses and applications, across an incredible wide spectrum of different industries and disciplines. You’ll find gas detectors and sensors from Nissha Fis, Maxtec and Galltec-Mela listed along with Envin Scientific’s own in-house detectors and control systems in the Gas Detection category of this website. Because this is such a large category, it is divided into several convenient subcategories, making it easier to find the specific product you need for a particular application. If you need any additional help or you are facing a specific gas detection or monitoring challenge that is not already covered on our site, please get in touch as we may be able to recommend a bespoke solution to your unique circumstances.
Listed alongside our gas sensors you’ll find our range of thermostats and hygrostats, which have a wide range of applications from HVAC, cooling and air conditioning, to food manufacture, animal husbandry and healthcare settings. Anywhere you need to detect temperature and humidity, as a precursor to controlling the ambient environment, these sensors can help. We stock and supply relatively low-cost but highly effective thermostats and humidistats, with low hysteresis, high accuracy and convenient output states that allow them to control equipment as required. Find out more about these sensors, including full product datasheets, under Temperature and Humidity in our Gas Detection category.
Pilot Gas Alarms monitor the atmosphere for the presence of leaked LPG. They are particularly designed for use in marine environments, where LPG leaks can accumulate unnoticed below decks and create a very dangerous scenario aboard ships, boats and other vessels. Crucially, Pilot Gas Alarms don’t just alert the crew to the presence of leaked LPG – they can also trigger solenoid valves to shut off the supply, ensuring that the leak does not get any worse. This allows action to be taken to disperse the LPG, without putting the crew or the vessel under any undue risk and while also minimising the threat from the LPG itself. Pilot Gas Alarms and accessories including replacement valves and sensors can all be ordered direct from the Envin Shop, with secure payments and fast delivery to the UK, continental Europe and the rest of the world.
If you have any questions about Envin Scientific, our product range, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, or anything else about our company and products, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We welcome all enquiries, including requests for bespoke solutions to unique problems in detection, sensing and control applications. Our bespoke optical filters allow very specific bandpass spectra to be catered for, transmitting or reflecting one or more narrow bands of wavelengths while removing the rest. We can also work with customers who want to develop their own detectors using sensors supplied by Envin Scientific, and our team can produce rapid prototypes when required. For all of these capabilities or any general enquiries and orders, just contact us using the details at the bottom of the page.
