Beam splitters separate light into two parts; transmitted (T) and reflected (R), both of which can be utilised. The ratio of R:T can be chosen and can be R:T or T:R depending on the optical path (typically values are 50:50, 75:25, 80:20). The operational wavelength region can be selected from the range 200-8000nm to suit the application. Although 45 degrees is a common angle of incidence this may also be specified as a different value.
The beamsplitting function can also be specified with regard to polarisation. All Beamsplitters manufactured by Envin are fully Dielectric and therefore exhibit very small levels of absorption loss compared to Metallic Beamsplitters.
